Instructions

Install the latest version of R (4.6.0 (called ‘Because it was There’) as of April 24, 2026)

• Download For Mac users (M1 chip) - (may need to copy-paste the link to the browser)

• Download For Mac users (Intel chip) - (may need to copy-paste the link to the browser)

• Download For Windows users - (may need to copy-paste the link to the browser)

For other operating systems, or if you prefer to access the download link from the official website, visit http://cran.us.r-project.org and select Download R for Linux, Download R for macOS or Download R for Windows based on which device you have.

Install the latest version of RStudio (Desktop):

• Download For Mac users - (may need to copy-paste the link to the browser)

• Download For Windows users - (may need to copy-paste the link to the browser)

• A more detailed walk-through of the steps above is provided in Setup. However, you should use the most recent versions of R and RStudio.
